PT 114 - Clinical Kinesiology 2 Lecture / 4 Lab / 4 Credits Clinical Kinesiology involves principles of physics, anatomy and physiology as applied to the human body for study of normal and abnormal movements. Understanding human body movements is a foundation for physical therapy treatment of movement disorders. The student will be competent in the techniques of measuring joint motion and muscle strength through manual testing. Study of the normal gait cycle, common gait deviations and gait training is included. Laboratory skill competency checks are mandatory and may be scheduled in addition to laboratory class. Prerequisites: BL 202 , PT 100 , PT 110 .
