PT 110 - Introduction to Physical Therapy 2 Lecture / 2 Lab / 3 Credits In this course, the student is educated on the history and purpose of physical therapy as a profession and the role and scope of practice of physical therapy personnel in the delivery of health care. Through lecture and laboratory practice, the student will learn basic patient care activities and physical therapy procedures, documentation, basic health care ethics, and communication skills. The organization and operation of the P.T. department is introduced. Laboratory skill competency checks are mandatory and scheduled in addition to laboratory class.
