NASC 300 - Ethics of Science in the Modern World 1 Credit The purpose of this course is to engage students in reading about, considering, and discussing the responsible conduct of science. This course will be a survey of the main ethical issues in scientific research. Topics to be covered include data fabrication and falsification, plagiarism, conflicts of interest, collaborative research, authorship and publication, peer review, animal and human experimentation, and responsible use of technology. Prerequisites: LIBA 201 and minimum of 45 credits earned or transferred.
