SURT 104 - Surgical Technology I 6 Lecture / 269 Clinical-Lab Hours / 6 Credits An introductory course developed to provide the Surgical Technology student the theoretical knowledge and clinical skills necessary to perform as an entry-level member of the surgical team. The principles and methods of sterilization and sterile technique are emphasized. The primary goal of surgical intervention, the diagnostic procedures employed for diagnosis, and the sequential steps in performing various General Surgery procedures are introduced in lecture and clinical lab. Prerequisites: BIOL 201 , METE 109 .
