ENGL 304 - Women Writers 3 Credits Explores writing by women in various genres including fiction and non-fiction, primarily in the British and American traditions. Elaine Showalter’s treatment of “imitation,” “protest,” and “self-discovery” phases is a starting point for writing and speaking assignments concerned with the articulation of the perspectives of women. This course meets the upper level literature requirement for bachelor degree programs. Prerequisite: ENGL 110 .
